Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Everton Park State High School will have a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program for all enrolled students from 2016.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) means exactly that: students bring their own digital devices to school, for the purposes of learning. So instead of using school-owned ICT, students use their own.  This concept recognises that students and their parents and caregivers would like to use the same digital devices at school and at home.

The program allows students to bring any device that meets the school determined minimum specifications.  See "Acceptable Devices List". Unsupported devices include Smartphones, Windows RT, Windows Phone, Linux/Unix/BSD/Nix devices and anything not mentioned on the list.

Students and parents will be guided by the BYOD Policy and Procedures document and ICT Network Policy and be asked to sign a User Agreement that outlines responsibilities and procedures for use of student-owned technology devices at Everton Park State High School.

Joining instructions for devices will be provided in line with the above procedures and students will participate in an induction process and receive minimum technical support from the school technician.
