Learning Enhancement Centre (LEC)

Case Management

Case Management offers individualised support for students with specific learning, behavioural, or wellbeing needs. A dedicated case manager works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to design and implement strategies that ensure students are equipped to thrive in the school environment. This approach ensures that interventions are consistent, measurable, and aligned with each student's personal learning goals.

Teacher Aides

Teacher Aides play a vital role in supporting both students and teachers within the classroom. They assist with the delivery of differentiated instruction, help manage classroom behaviour and provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help. Their presence enhances learning outcomes by ensuring that all students receive the attention and assistance they require to succeed academically and socially.

EALD (English as an Additional Language or Dialect)

Our EALD program is designed to support students from non-English-speaking backgrounds in developing their English language skills. It provides targeted instruction that focuses on both academic and social language, helping students to fully participate in classroom activities and integrate into the school community. The program is tailored to each student’s individual language needs, and it plays a crucial role in boosting confidence and promoting educational success.

Academic Support Programs

Our academic support programs for students with diverse learning needs fosters the development of skills that have been identified as essential to achieve success in the 21st century.

Assistive Technologies Program

Assistive Technologies are used in our school to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or sensory challenges. These tools range include speech-to-text software, immersive reader, adaptive keyboards and communication devices. By integrating assistive technologies into the classroom, we enable greater access to the curriculum and help students to develop independence in their learning.

Targeted Literacy Program

The Targeted Literacy Program is designed to support students who require additional help in reading and writing. Through small group instruction and evidence-based strategies, the program focuses on building foundational skills such as phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Regular assessments guide instruction, ensuring that support is responsive and effective in closing literacy gaps and fostering long-term academic progress.
