Assessment in the senior phase of learning supports students to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and understanding across a range of subjects and pathways. Assessment practices align with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) requirements and Department of Education guidelines.

Students are supported to understand assessment expectations and develop effective study and organisational skills as they progress through senior schooling.

Assessment practices aim to:

  • provide clear expectations and criteria
  • support student progress and improvement
  • ensure fairness and consistency
  • prepare students for post‑school learning and work

Assessment requirements vary depending on subject type and pathway. Further information about assessment requirements is provided through subject outlines and teacher guidance.
