Vocational education and training (VET) provides senior students with opportunities to develop practical skills, gain real‑world experience and work towards nationally recognised qualifications while completing their secondary schooling. VET supports a range of post‑school pathways including employment, apprenticeships, traineeships and further education.
Everton Park State High School is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and offers a VET program designed to support diverse interests and career aspirations. Programs are delivered on campus and through partnerships with industry professionals and other registered training organisations (RTOs), enabling students to engage in authentic learning experiences and develop skills valued in the workplace.

VET pathways at Everton Park State High School
VET programs provide students with opportunities to apply learning in practical contexts while developing transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, problem‑solving and responsibility.
Current VET pathways available to senior students include:
Certificate IV in Business
This qualification supports students to develop skills in workplace communication, administration, project support and business operations. Pathways include office‑based roles and further study in business and related fields.
Certificate III in Hospitality
Students develop practical skills for work in hospitality environments, including customer service, food and beverage service and workplace safety. This pathway supports entry into hospitality employment and further training within the industry.
Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
This qualification supports students to build foundation workplace skills, explore career interests and prepare for future employment, apprenticeships or further training.
